Hey! I'm Austin.
I’m a lover of all things outdoors and type two fun. My own two legs and a backpack full of overnight gear bring me to some of the world’s most exquisite locations.
While going to school for a degree in Graphic Design and Advertising from Portland State University, I quickly learned the office life was not the life for me. My yearning for the outdoors combined with an always-on-the-go mindset couldn’t be confined to an office chair and four walls. By my junior year in college, I was making a living shooting photos, leading workshops, and writing content for a multitude of outdoor companies. Even though I knew I was going to continue to pursue the freelance life full time, I was always taught to finish what I had started (thanks Dad!). I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and Advertising in 2020.
Like any good freelancer, my “job” - or lack thereof, is a beast with many heads, all centered around one core concept: inspiring others to go further, do better, and be better. Whether I’m leading a photography workshop, writing a travel or photography article, or dripping with sweat deep in the backcountry, I hope my work will inspire you to do just that.
Whether helping my clients capture epic photos, writing blog posts, or making YouTube videos, I wake up every day just stoked to be able to do what I love.
When I’m not doing all of that, I enjoy playing pickleball, watching college football (Go Ducks!), and staying active. Most importantly, I’m a big Sour Patch Kids kinda guy.
